Columbia Threadneedle, having relocated to new, central London offices, wanted to make sure their people benefited from a clutter-free working environment that was also modern and sleek.

Morgan Lovell, partner and client, trusted us to develop and evolve our standard product offering to meet their customers’ specific needs.

Their brief to us was to create personal storage that could also accommodate hanging garments while also using the minimum available floor space – essential where office space commands a premium.

We devised and configured the Z Locker as the most appropriate solution.

Our solution incorporated using Z Lockers in conjunction with StorageWall, and as these were being installed in close proximity. We designed the Z Lockers as a hybrid of the Aria and trim locker systems. This enabled us to create visual continuity externally and an all timber construction internally that allowed flexible hinge positioning and adjustment internally.

To make sure we got the details exactly right, we developed and prototyped the Z locker concept in the factory before pushing ahead with production.

Three weeks after a full, detailed survey, the James Tobias team began carcass installation and laminate doors were being installed three weeks after that.
