Delivering a bespoke audio-visual alcove to facilitate smarter working

The way businesses communicate and share information is changing. High quality video conferencing enables them to stay connected, helping save time and money, whilst increasing productivity.

Working in partnership with Artimis Interior Services, on behalf of Sumitomo, we were asked to design and deliver a custom acoustic MediaWall to house a 9 screen television for video conferencing. This enables smarter, more connected communications.

From the outset, the client had a very clear brief; to deliver a bespoke, seamless audio visual alcove to exacting dimensions, measuring 3800mm wide x 2200mm high. This required a comprehensive survey and detailed planning.

This project presented the team at James Tobias with an interesting opportunity – as our standard alcoves do not exceed 2800mm wide – so we engineered a new custom solution. In addition, working with the acoustic board generated its own challenges – therefore our manufacturing and installation teams needed to work with thorough precision.

Using our MediaWall solution, we designed and delivered an impressive fully functional audio visual alcove in acoustic light ferrera oak board that maximised capacity and minimised floor space requirements.
