Clerkenwell Design Week was a well organised positive 3 days. Our main objective this year was to show our new products and launch the new brochure. We have now got another James Tobias product in the form of a Tea Point installed making the total products within the showroom to 8!
We particularly enjoyed our Wednesday drinks event, it was good to have an opportunity to speak to individuals, show our products and raise interest in what we are doing. Alan was at home as head barman and did a great job at keeping people refreshed. The cheese was another talking point!
Collectively the showroom looked good, was manned well, and it seemed that all partners worked with each other trying to achieve the same objective.

It is always interesting at Clerkenwell Design Week to see what competitors and the marketplace are trying to achieve. It certainly appears that our drive, products and materials that we are using, are on point with current market trends. There are still hints of biophilic design, zonal walls/ displays are current in every relative showroom and the seating/ booth and meeting areas are in abundance. With the seating pod/ booth product more and more companies are utilising space with an informal seated area but not all require a full surround. Lots now still require a designed space for such tasks, but half height designs are just as common.
Reflecting on these findings, our next step is being creative with how we can accommodate the seated area within other products and extensions to current designs. We are also excited to develop our Quebix product further. The products sit comfortably between, zonal, storage/ display and can be customised to suit a high percentage of customer requirements including, seating, desking and acoustics to name a few.
As always, we were able to create good memories and ultimately see the event as a ‘thank you’ to our customers. Now the focus is on next year, there is already talk of buskers and Caribbean street food so watch this space!
