
What’s your job title? And how long have you worked for James Tobias?
I am Procurement Manager and I’ve worked at James Tobias since December 2016.
What does that actually mean? What does your role entail?
I do all of the purchasing for the factory, this includes finding new suppliers and obtaining the best prices from them. Maintaining relationships with current suppliers. Managing stock levels and stores and providing product information to the Sales team and Design team.
What does a normal day look like for you?
A normal day is usually attending the morning production meeting, which allows me to check if we need any non-stock items for forthcoming jobs. We also discuss any problems with deliveries. I deal with stock and purchasing matters and liaise with the Design and Sales teams.
How does your role work with the wider James Tobias team?
I work very closely with the Design team, also the Factory Manager and all members of the factory team regarding stock levels and requirements. I also answer any queries from the Sales Team.
Who do you do most of your work for?
The Bridgwater factory.
How do you make sure that you live up to the James Tobias values in your own work?
I endeavour to carry out my job to the best of my ability providing everyone who I deal with the best service possible. I monitor the items we purchase, ensuring they are the best quality and meet both ours and the customers needs.
If you had the chance to tell your clients one thing about James Tobias what would it be and why?
I know that all of the staff at James Tobias are 100% committed to providing customers with the best service and product possible.
If you were to have one James Tobias product in your own home, what would it be and why?
I would have the Quebix system. It provides excellent storage, individually designed to my requirements and needs.

I enjoy spending time with friends and walking.
