What’s your job title? And how long have you worked for James Tobias?
I am Regional Sales Manager and I have been with the company for over five years.
What does that actually mean? What does your role entail?
I cover the North of England, Scotland and Ireland, selling our range of products, providing quotations and keeping clients updated with any addition to our portfolio of services.
What does a normal day look like for you?
The days vary but essentially it would be made up of visiting clients, prospecting, site surveying, site visits, providing quotations and answering any questions that may be asked by clients or head office.
How does your role work with the wider James Tobias team?
Sales is the start of the process for James Tobias, as we manufacture and install our products, so I am involved at all stages.
Who do you do most of your work for?
The majority is through Fit-Out companies, but we work with Design & Build, Furniture suppliers and Architects.
How do you make sure that you live up to the James Tobias values in your own work?
As a front line representative for James Tobias I give my clients honest advice on what can and cannot be achieved, whilst offering ideas that may work better for what they require.
If you had the chance to tell your clients one thing about James Tobias what would it be and why?
This is difficult as there are several, but I would say our fitting teams. I have lost count of the compliments they have received which actually means James Tobias has brought everything together from start to finish.
If you were to have one James Tobias product in your own home, what would it be and why?
I would go with our new Tea Point range, especially as you can integrate lockers and storage wall if required.
Finally, when you’re not creating the UK’s leading storage solutions, what keeps you busy?
My wife and I relocated to Scotland with James Tobias in January 2017, so we are busy working on our new house and vegetable/fruit garden. I also enjoy walking our dogs and I have taken up Curling.
