What’s your job title? And how long have you worked for James Tobias?
I am the Operations Administrator and I started working at James Tobias in January 2018.
What does that actually mean? What does your role entail?
My Job is incredibly varied. Ultimately I do all of the administration work, sending out documentation, for example, O&M documents, Order Acknowledgements, Practical Completions and sending RAMS. I also arrange site surveys and ensure that fitters have all the correct information and paperwork for the upcoming projects.
What does a normal day look like for you?
My first task of the day is to create a presentation showing all the live jobs for the production meeting. The rest of my day consists of general admin work whilst reacting to emails and phone calls from customers, fitters and our sales team etc.
How does your role work with the wider James Tobias team?
I see the jobs through from start to finish. I Acknowledge the Order, confirm the scheduling and then send installation reports for completed projects. By doing so, this helps keep all employees updated and in the know.
Who do you do most of your work for?
My role is to support the operations manager, Angela. Together we work with all departments to ensure successful installations.
How do you make sure that you live up to the James Tobias values in your own work?
In Operations, it is vital that we have excellent customer service and always maintain professionalism as we are constantly communicating with Customers. It’s important to stay organised and a step ahead in order to meet Customer expectations.
If you had the chance to tell your clients one thing about James Tobias what would it be and why?
It is a really friendly and genuine place to work! I’ve made some fantastic friends, and we all have fun whilst working hard.
If you were to have one James Tobias product in your own home, what would it be and why?
I would have a standard unit with sliding doors (SW20). They are a fantastic use of space as they can include pigeon holes, ROFFS, Coat rails and your standard shelving etc.
Finally, when you’re not creating the UK’s leading storage solutions, what keeps you busy?
I am a keen runner and enjoy being outdoors with my dog. I also love to cook and eat good food, drink good wine and spend time with my friends and family.
