I’m Production Director here at James Tobias, and I’ve worked here for 5 years.
What does that actually mean? What does your role entail?
I have full responsibility of the day to day running of the business, overseeing operations, design, production and procurement. I also attend board meetings, answerable to our Equity partners.
What does a normal day look like for you?
A normal day is usually proactively organising work flow through the business, ensuring everything is achieved to the highest possible standard.
How does your role work with the wider James Tobias team?
I’m in constant contact with our Salesman to ensure customers get the best service possible.
Who do you do most of your work for?
The Bridgwater factory linking up external with internal enquiries.
How do you make sure that you live up to the James Tobias values in your own work?
My daily goals and targets are set throughout the business, ensuring we meet the standards required with the view of continually improving.
If you had the chance to tell your clients one thing about James Tobias what would it be and why?
James Tobias has completely evolved since the business buy out four years ago, the company has had to diversify its product range to stay one step ahead of the market. We have a lot of dedicated skilled individuals working for us which creates a good working atmosphere.
If you were to have one James Tobias product in your own home, what would it be and why?
We have just introduced a new product range of Tea Points which are very similar to kitchen units; these would look nice in a new home.
Finally, when you’re not creating the UK’s leading storage solutions, what keeps you busy?
I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren, watching football and I am a keen guitarist.
