A team of cyclists from James Tobias Ltd, the UK’s leading StorageWall manufacturer, has raised £1,190 to support the caring work of the Sue Ryder Hospice in Nettlebed, Oxfordshire.
The five-strong team from the company raised the cash by taking part in the gruelling 25-mile Ride for Ryder. In doing so, they won the special Corporate Award in recognition of the fact that they had raised more than any other company team taking part in the event.
“It was a tough event,” says David McLaren, director at the company and a member of the James Tobias team, “but it was really good to take part and to be able to support such a worthwhile cause.”
Vicki Collins, regional fundraiser for Sue Ryder, says: “We rely very heavily on fundraising initiatives such as this one by the team from James Tobias. We are so grateful for their very real contribution to our ongoing and vital work here at Nettlebed Hospice.”
Editor’s Note: Sue Ryder’s Nettlebed Hospice provides a wide range of residential and non-residential palliative care services, to enable people with longterm illnesses to live and cope as comfortably as possible.
