All internals are designed and manufactured in house in our Somerset factory and delivered using our fleet of modern vehicles. They are then carefully installed by our own directly employed experienced fitting crew.
Helping choose your internals
James Tobias StorageWall is a well-engineered and robust storage system designed to accommodate normal office filing requirements. The method of storage provided by the various internal fitments is self-evident but the following precautions should be heeded.
Shelves – All shelves are manufactured from steel. Their design provides lateral restraint to the unit side walls and eliminates the sagging associated with timber shelves.
Only fit the appropriate number of files to the shelves or filing frames – forcing in extra files exerts lateral loads on the side walls. Overloading the shelves and filing frames in this manner is dangerous. The use of shelf dividers is recommended to reduce the possibility of lateral loading on the sidewalls.
To avoid damage to the doors, hinges and lock mechanism ensure that badly filed or bulky items do not interfere with the doors or locking mechanism when closing.
Roll Out Filing Frames
Roll Out filing frames should not be located more than 1300mm from the floor (a maximum of 4 levels) to ensure safe operation.
To avoid damage to the doors, doors must be opened beyond ninety degrees before pulling out internal roll-out fitments.

Accessories
LOCK KNOB
Our traditional lock knob and key is at the heart of James Tobias StorageWall products. A timeless classic that still appeals to the eye. Robust, functional and reliable, the lock will operate for many years to come. The core barrels can be suited or individually numbered allowing multiple locks to be used on items such as lockers.
FLUSH LOCK
A variation of the lock knob, our flush locks use the same quality barrel as our traditional lock knob which allows the same options on key numbers. These are traditionally used when you require a separate handle and don’t want a lock to protrude more than it needs too.
AIR/+ – RFID LOCK
A wireless, keyless, electronic lock. This design uses common building security systems such as an RFID access card to release the blocked locking system.
MINIPAD – KEYPAD LOCK
The miniPAD offers the simplicity of a keyless locking system on a small scale. It combines simple operation, modest size, advanced technology and secure functionality, all within an elegant design.
MECHANICAL COMBINATION LOCK
A great solution for when you require a hassle free combination lock but funds may not stretch to the electronic options. This lock is available in single and multi-user versions.
EVO/+ – COMBINATION LOCK
A wireless, keyless, electronic lock. Locking system for furniture and lockers that work entirely without keys, power cables or transponders. Created to enhance furniture design. To activate, simply enter the numbers and symbols for the individual code by rotating and pressing the knob. Available in single and multi-user versions.
